Friends of Aviation is a global non-profit organization dedicated to making the dream of flight a reality for the maximum number of people and to keep this dream alive all over the world.

Millions of people over the world make up the very wide world of aviation. They are not just private and professional pilots or aviators. They are all kinds of people who work in the field of aviation, aerospace or related areas – or people who are just generally fascinated by the idea of flying.

FRIENDS OF AVIATION is an organization which was formed by and consists of passionate and adventurous individuals who all share the dream, adventure and passion for airplanes and aviation in general.

Our goal is to be a uniting force that highlights each specialty and its place in the aviation community.  Friends of Aviation want to include everybody who loves flying - from the person who fuels the plane - to the engineer who designs a new aircraft system. From an aircraft mechanic to an air traffic controller, flight attendant and last, but not least, pilots.

If you have an interest in aviation, but don't know where to go or who to contact, we are here to help you connect up with the right group or flight school in your area, where you can get help to get started and achieve or formulate your goals in aviation. We are also here to provide accurate information and advise about any aspects of aviation to help you determine your best course of action.

As part of our activities, we conduct public information campaigns and events to bring up the general awareness of aviation and its value in today's society. For instance we are planning to host a major event next year in Glendale, Los Angeles, to show case aviation and all aspects of what we do. Our organization consists of volunteers from the aviation community, who are putting in their time and effort to make this into a great group. Any and all contributions you may have to add to the group, both when it comes to ideas, time, articles or donations, are always appreciated.
